We started our friendship as "Bowling Wives" traveling to out of town tournaments together and of course shopping in between games. In 1986 Mary purchased a local ceramic business and the garage was no more. Phyllis started attending ceramic classes and within a few years we added the making of porcelain dolls. In 2003 we were introduced to "Stained Glass" by a friend which later opened the door to the wonderful world of warm glass.
Our work is unique and we love to experiment with different glass to achieve interesting and beautiful effects. Sometimes the experiments work and sometimes not but we just keep working.
In 2003 The Gorge Chapter of The Oregon Glass Guild was formed which we have been members of since the on set and continue to be very active at both local and state levels.
And now, 26 years later we are still traveling together but this time it is to shop for glass and attend "Glass" events.
